Lindenwood Early Close Today (2/16) – Classes After 3 p.m. Held Virtually

Due to inclement weather and potentially hazardous road conditions, the Lindenwood University campus is closing at 3 p.m. today, February 16. Employees and students are encouraged to use extreme caution when traveling. Essential Employees should contact their supervisor for their on-campus schedule. We thank you in advance for your service. 

In-person classes starting at 3 p.m. or later today will be held virtually or will have learning activities that can be completed remotely. Students that are enrolled in classes that are online, hyflex, or hybrid should check Canvas and email for information from their professor, since many of these learning activities will continue virtually. Faculty should provide information regarding changes to class assignments and deadlines. Students should check Canvas and email for communication from their instructors. 

Faculty and staff are advised to take their laptops and work materials home with them in case of continuing bad weather.

All in-person campus activities starting at 3 p.m. or later are canceled. Virtual events may continue as planned. Any change in dining service hours will be communicated and/or updated in GrubHub.

Lindenwood University offers you the opportunity to take a specialized track that allows you to complete the Bachelor of Science in Fashion Business and Entrepreneurship in just three years. If you are interested in accelerating your education while saving money, this is a great option. You will take the same classes included in the traditional four-year track BS in Fashion Business and Entrepreneurship, but with the added flexibility of online and on-campus coursework. View course requirements for the Fast Track in Fashion Business and Entrepreneurship degree.

Admission Requirements

Freshmen

  • A minimum high school cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5.
  • A minimum ACT composite score of 20 or a minimum SAT (reading & Math) score of 1020.

Transfer Students

  • 2.0 transfer GPA with 24 transferable credit hours.
  • If less than 2.0 or 24 hours, student must provide official high school transcripts and official ACT or SAT score for further evaluation.

International Students

  • TOEFL Score (minimum 61), IELTS Score (minimum of 5.5), or ACT/SAT Score (20 ACT/ 940 SAT critical reading and math).

Fashion Business and Entrepreneurship Learning Objectives

The Lindenwood University Fashion Business and Entrepreneurship program is designed to prepare you for a career in the fashion business with the knowledge and skills to understand the basic terminology and principles of fashion design, principles of fashion business and entrepreneurship, the historical, cultural, and stylistic contexts of design and respond to design critically and analytically, and understand the analysis and predictive industry trends through the development of a business model.

Careers in Fashion Business and Entrepreneurship

When you graduate from Lindenwood University with a BS in Fashion Business and Entrepreneurship, you will be prepared to enter the fashion industry as a business professional in corporate design and apparel firms or as a freelance fashion designer and entrepreneur with business acumen for fashion marketing, merchandising, sourcing and retail management and buying.
